Thorn-Bearers for Christ

Thorn-bearers for Christ is a hybrid Bible community and a large-scale mobilization effort to bring back Christ-likeness in men of all ages within the Bible Belt, provoking followers to grow into leaders. As Paul and ultimately Jesus did, men will be encouraged to bear their thorns or take up their cross, hence the name.
We hope to arm guys with an understanding of the gospel they've hoped in. Through TBFC, we also pray that the gap between young adults and their elders will be bridged, and masculinity will thrive once again.

⛔︎ How it works:
- Each day, an appointed admin will provide a devotional with both an exposition of a passage of scripture and a resource for further study.
- Once a month, the group meets to engage in godly discussion and listen to a prepared teaching.
- Invitations are sent in the context of relationships or inquiry; they are not public.

⛔︎ Structure:
- 5 vetted admins cycle through weekly devotion assignments and lead monthly meetings.
- There is an announcement-only group chat, and another for edifying, anyone-can-contribute discourse.
- Monthly gatherings are split into the following: (1) prepared, admin-led text-based teaching, (2) small group conversational response, (3) tabletalk.

"So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited."
